The chelating ability of this ligand with Cu(II), Ni(II), Cd(II) and Co(II) metal ions has been investigated and compared with the ligand, thiodiacetic acid bis(2-pyridylmethyl-cmide), previously reported. The structures of the isolated compounds were proposed using n.m.r., i.r. and u.v-visible spectra. © 1982, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
