This study analyzes the reform demands of the BRICS platform regarding global governance mechanisms and its discursive transformations during the first quarter of the 21st century, a period characterized by the questioning of the West- centered hierarchy in the international system. Covering the period from the first official summit in 2009 to 2025, the thesis focuses on the collective objections and structural proposals developed by the platform against the representation inequalities in fundamental institutions such as the IMF, the World Bank, and the UN General Assembly. The theoretical framework of the research is constituted by Social Constructivist and Liberal Institutionalist perspectives. The synthesis of these two approaches enables understanding both BRICS’s pursuit of institutional efficiency in line with rational interests and the processes of identity and norm construction within the international system. Methodologically, summit declarations, and UN General Assembly addresses were examined; “common grounds” within the heterogeneous structure of the group and the “different approaches” stemming from national priorities were analyzed comparatively. The findings of the study indicate that BRICS does not reject the current world order entirely but demands fairer representation in decision-making mechanisms and a multipolar reality. It is concluded that throughout the process up to 2025, the group’s discursive unity was supported by institutionalization efforts, yet the differences in the strategic priorities of member countries shaped the scope of the reform proposals.trinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessBRICSKüresel Yönetişimreformsosyal inşacılıkliberal kurumsalcılıkKüresel Güneyadil temsil.Global governancesocial constructivismliberal institutionalismglobal southequitable representation.BRICS ve Küresel Yönetim Mekanizmalarının Reformu: Ortak zeminler ve farklı yaklaşımlarMaster Thesis
