The aim of this study is to describe the locations and the number of the nutrient foramina on the fibulae. A total of 312 fibulae were studied to determine the location and the number of the nutrient foramina. The foramina were seen primarily on the posterior surface (48,07%) and secondary on the medial crest (28,84%) . The nutrient foramina of the fibulae were frequently detected in the proximal third sixth of the bones. The nutrient foramina were absent in 24 fibulae. Single nutrient foramen was seen in 260 fibulae. Three nutrient foramina were seen only in four fibulae. The results show that the fibula with single nutrient foramen is common and this data is similar with the other studies. The locations of the nutrient foramen or foramina are very important for free vascularized bone grafts.
