Eye drooping and its therapy is involved with the muscular and ligamentous structures in the upper lid. Material and Methods: Upper lid anatomy intended for ptosis surgery is reviewed in literature. Cadaver dissection findings were evaluated with the literature knowledge. The dissection was recorded in high-definition video format. Results: Upper lid skin, orbicular muscle, levator muscle and its aponeurosis, Muller's muscle, tarsi, ligamentous structures and adipose tissue and their relations were shown in the dissection. Discussion: The anatomical findings of ptosis surgery in literature were compared by our dissection findings and evaluated. Conclusion: Knowledge of the complex anatomy of the upper lid is of paramount importance for the successful functional and aesthetic surgical results of this region.trinfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessBlepharoptosisCadaver dissectionPtosisUpper eyelidUpper eyelid anatomy: Anatomic dissection study and literature [Üst gözkapagi{dotless} cerrahi anatomisi Anatomik diseksiyon çali{dotless}şmasi{dotless} ve literatür derlemesi]Article20214N/A
