Amfoterisin B, nötropenik hastalarda ortaya çıkan ve mantarların sebep olduğu enfeksiyonların tedavisinde kullanılan en önemli antifungal ilaçlardan birisidir. Bu ilacın nefrotoksik özelliği iyi dökümante edilmiş ve hakkında çok şey bilinen yan etkilerinden birisidir. Ateş, döküntü ve diğer akut allerjik reaksiyonlarda saptanabilir ve antihistaminiklerle giderilebilir. Bu yazıda, amfoterisin B infüzyonuna bağlı hipotermi saptadığımız bir olgu sunulmaktadır. Ayrıca, amfoterisin B infüzyonuna bağlı hipoterminin altında yatan muhtemel sebepler de tartışılmıştır.Most of drugs have potential side effects. Most of them are related to the administration route of the drugs. Amphotericin B is one of the most important antifungal drug to treat the fungal infections in neutropenic patients. Nephrotoxicity of this drug is well-documanted phenomenon. Fever, chills and other acute allergic reactions can be seen in a number of patients and can be treated by antihistaminics. In this report, we present a case with hypothermia due to infusion of amphotericin B.
