The new species is close to G. spinimanus but differs from it by narrower paramers, gastral spicula and sculpture of prothoracic hypomera. The new monotypic subgenus Plesiognaptor subgen. n. is described for G. prolixus, as well as the distribution for each species. New data on the G. prolixus range are added. This species is known from Turkey (Izmir, Ayd n, Afyon, Konya, Isparta Provinces) and Iran (Elburs, the first record for the country).
