Doç. Dr. Tamer DUMANLI Eylül 1999, 135 Sayfa Bu tez çalışmasında, Internet ortamından Java Programlama Dili kullanılarak bilgisayar ağ programlama ve bir kütüphane veri tabam sistemi ele alınmıştır. Geliştirilen sistemde Java dilinin getirdiği Applet, Thread, Ağ programlama ve Dosya teknolojileri kullamlmıştır. Sistem istemci-sunucu mimarisinde geliştirilmiştir. Sunucu ve istemciler arasında TCP/IP iletişim protokolü kullamlmıştır. Sistemin teknik özelliklerinin anlaşılabilmesi için hazılanan veri tabam üzerinde performans testleri uygulanmıştır. Test sonuçlan hazırlanırken IBM DB2 ve Microsoft ACCESS hazır veri tabam sistemlerinden faydalanılmıştır. Java Applet, Thread, Network Programming and File System technologies are used in developed system. In computer network programming side, client-server architecture is used for improving the system. Server and a number of clients communicate with each other using TCP/IP protocol. Performance tests are performed for improving technical specifications of the system. IBM DB2 and Microsoft ACCESS database managament systems are used for carriying out the performance tests.
