In the field of space heating, which accounts for approximately 35-40% of the total energy demand in Turkey, the use of solar energy is of particularly great importance. In this context, transparent insulation materials are considered a promising innovative technology. Therefore in this study, the thermal behaviour of two, transparent insulated and uninsulated, external walls were examined experimentally under atmospheric conditions. As regards the results of the experiment, the thermal mode of the wall was simulated and energy gain with the application of transparent insulation on the wall was calculated. During the heating period, energy gain was calculated as 48.24 kWh/m(2) depend on the transparently insulated south-facing wall.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessTransparent insulationSolar energyExternal wallTheoretical and experimental analysis of the solar energy gain of transparent insulated external wall in climatic conditions of IzmirArticle2501.Feb6986WOS:000274230500006N/AN/A
