"Semah dance" as one of the doctrines of Alevism, a way of expression of a belief and social system, kept its importance within Alevism until today. However, its structural shift in this time period, gained semah dance new aspects as new places of performance within different contexts, as well as a medium of socio-politcal identity of Alevi society.
