Türkiye'deki kentsel tasarım yarışmalarının peyzaj mimarlığı yönünden incelenmesi

Kentsel Tasarım kavramının tarihsel bir süreçle, izlerini ve gelişimini takip etmek mümkün olmasına rağmen, bu kavramın hala kesin denebilecek bir tanımı bulunmamaktadır. Bu tartışmalı ve kapsamlı kavram; planlama, tasarım ve sanat disiplinleri için kentlere dair doğru düşünme yöntemleri geliştirmek için bir fırsat haline gelmekte ve söz konusu disiplinlerin kolektif katkılarıyla kendisini var etmektedir. Kentsel Tasarım olgusunu, bir profesyonel alandan ziyade, ilgili meslekleri bir araya getirebilen, tanıştıran, etkileşime sokan ve bu sayede sürekli büyüyen, gelişen bir agora olarak kabul etmek gerekebilir. Kentsel Tasarım; özellikle adını verdiği ve şartnamesini şekillendirdiği yarışma türlerinin ortaya çıkmasıyla çeşitli tartışmaları gündeme getirmiştir. Planlama ve Tasarım temelli meslekler arasında yetkinlik çekişmelerini tetikleyen, akademi için yeni, anlaşılmaya ve içi doldurulmaya çalışılan bir kavram olarak ortada dururken, bir yandan bu yarışmalar neticesinde bir araya gelen/gelmek zorunda kalan konular, jüriler, kolektif yarışmacı ekipler, kendilerini yeni bir çalışma alanı ve yönteminin içinde bulmuşlardır. Peyzaj mimarlığı özelinde ilgili tüm aktörler için kentsel tasarım kavramının doğurduğu sıkıntılar, fırsatlar, süreçler ve sonuçlar bu çalışmanın konusunu oluşturmaktadır.

Although it is possible to follow the traces and development of the 'Urban Design' concept in the historical process, there is still no certain definition of this concept. This controversial and comprehensive concept becomes an opportunity to develop the right ways of thinking for cities for the disciplines of planning, design and art and it comes into being with the collective contributions of these disciplines. It may be necessary to accept 'Urban design' phenomenon as a agora that can bring related professions together, introduce and interact each other rather than just one professional field.Urban design brought up various discussions with the emergence of different types of competitions that it gave its name and shaped the specification. Besides it provokes competence motive among planning and design based professions and is a new and trying to be understandable concept for academy, the subjects that come together as a result of competitions, juries, collective competition teams found a new field of study and method. The problems, opportunities, processes and results arise from the term of 'urban design' for the whole related actors in landscape architecture constitutes the subject of this study.
