ABSTRACT Bu tezde, 1,2-0-trikloroetiliden-a-L-arabino pentadialdoz [Bileşik:I]'dan çıkılarak çeşitli Wittig reaktifleriyle, doymamış şeker türevleri sentezlendi. Pentadialdoz türevi (I), (S)-l,2-0-trikloroetiliden-a-D-galaktofuranoz (Galaktokloraloz)'dan periyodat oksidasyonuyla elde edildi. Böylece, (S) -metil- trans- 5, 6-didehidro-5, 6- dideoksi-l,2-0-trikloroetiliden-a-D-galaktofurano-hepturonat [BileşikrII], (S)-etil- trans-5,6-didehiciro-53-dideoksi-l,2-0-trlIdoroetÜlden-a-I>galaktofurano-hepturonat [BileşilcIIIl, (S)-8-deoksi-7-keto-trans-5,6-didehidro-5,6-dideoksi-1.2-0-trikloroetili- den-a-D-galaktofurano-oktoz [BileşikrIV] elde edildi ve spektroskopik yöntemlerle yapıları aydınlatıldı
ABSTRACT In this thesis, unsaturated sugar derivatives from 1.2-O-trichloro- ethylidene-oc-L-arabino pentadialdose [Compound:I] were synthesised by the use of Wittig reagents. The pentadialdose derivative (I) were made by the glycol fission reaction, from (S)-l,2-0-trichloroethylidene-a-D-galactofuranose (Galacto- chloralose). Thus, (S)-methyl-trans-5,6-didehydro-5,6-dideoxy- 1,2-O-trichloroethyli- dene-a-D-galactofurano-hepturonate [Compound:II], (S) -ethyl- trans- 5,6- didehy dro- 5,6-dideoxy-l,2-0-trichloroethylide-a-D-galactofurano-hepturonate [Compound:III], (S)-8-deoxy-7-keto- ûrans-5,6-didehydro-5,6-dideoxy- 1,2-O-trichloroethylidene-a-ö-ga- lactofurano-octose [Compound:IV] were obtained and their structures were identified by spectroscopic methods.
