dc.description.abstract | 46 SUMMARY THE INVESTIGATIONS ON THE EFFECTS OP SOME CULTURAL MEDIA AGAINST TO SOME ANTAGONISTS The cultural growths of some antagonistic bacterial and fungal isolates are investigated on differentiated liquid and solid media under certain conditions. The biological control of plant pathogens have been increasingly developed by not only there is no chemical control methods for some soilborne plant pathogens, but the resistance and environmental polution problems of usaage of chemical control methods. In the biocontrol of plant pathogens most important handicap is the colonization of useful micro organisms in the soil. This study had been carried out in the Plant Protec tion Department laboratories of the University of Ege Agri culture Faculty between 1989 and 1990. Three bacterial isolates and one fungal isolate were used as antagonistic material which had antagonistic effects against some pathogens. Those bacterial and fungal isolates were Streptomyces sp. and Trichoderma viride. These antagonis tic isolates showed different cultural growth on the media which had different combinations of some matures and sugar. PDA medium was used as a comparision medium.47 According to the result, four days old T.viride colonies showed better growth on PDA and Gr-, 5( sheep manure 5.'g./lt. and 1 g./lt. and 1 g./lt. sugar) media than others growth. But the differences weren't statistically among the media (G^, Gg5 and G,5). At the end of fifth day, isolates of Streptomyces sp. (ac/af, a9, a5) weren't shown significant difference on the manure media and on the others. But the G,5 media appeared as a potential material to study for future works. The growths of the bacterial and fungal isolates were shown as column grafics in the figures. | en_US |
