dc.description.abstractUsing a 3 inch ( diameter) by 3 inch ( length) NaI( T1) inorganic scintillation detector, a gamma-ray energy spectrum with and without timing method of Ba-133 radioisotope was obtained by the developed spectrometer. In order to check the performance of the spectrometric method, the spectrometer was tested on the gamma energy spectrum of a Bi-207 radioisotope. The method presented here was successful on the improvement of the energy resolution of the spectrometer.en_US
