The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of daily life activities on the quality of life and life satisfaction of elderly. the study sample included 92 elderly. Study data were collected with an “Personal Information Form”, “Barthel Index”, “Nottingham Healty Profile”, “Life Satisfaction Questionnaire”. Statistically analyzed with arithmethic mean, Mann Whitney U test, Kruskal Wallis, Pearson/Spearman correlation coefficients. It was found that the mean score of Barthel Index was 78.02±24.07 and Life Satisfaction Questionnaire was 21.89±5.87. It was reported that 45.7% of the participants were moderately dependent and Life Satisfaction Questionnaire scores were relatively high. the mean score of Nottingham Healty Profile was 230.19±120.59 and the energy subdimension mean score was the highest (54.57±32.66) while social isolation subdimension had the lowest mean score (23.33±26.42), which suggested that the quality of life of aged people was the best in socia lisolation subdimension and the worst in energy subdimension. It was reported that life satisfaction was increased with independence levels and with higher subdimension and total scores of quality of life. It was also pointed out that all subdimension and total mean scores of quality of life increased with independence levels.
