Özet

A study was conducted that uses work sampling, a method of finding the percentage occurrence of a certain activity by statistical sampling and random observations, to determine the productive utilization of machine/production time ratio and calculate share of all workflow types on two different knitted structures in two different electronic flat knitting machines. The study revealed that the type of knitted structure, whether simple or complex, does not affect the productive utilization of the machines. The study also revealed that the required number of observations for brand knitting machine (A) was 1000, while for machine (B) it was 300. The results showed that the type of the knitted structure, does not effect the productive utilization of the machines, however, it effects the measuring time. This way the work sampling method can help the plants to increase their productivity and reduce the cost under competitive conditions.
