Büyük arter transpozisyon (BAT)’lu hastalarda arterial seviyede düzeltme sağlayan Jatene operasyonu 1975 yılından sonra standart prosedür haline gelmiştir. Jatene prosedürü, fizyolojik tamir sağlasa da tam bir anatomik düzeltme sağlayamamaktadır. Pulmoner kapağın yerinde bırakılarak sistemik dolaşıma dahil edilmesinden dolayı arteriyal sistem en uygun şekilde olmamaktadır. Bu nedenden dolayı uzun dönem takiplerde neoaortik kök genişlemesi gözlenebilmektedir. Biz de yazımızda, kliniğimizde yenidoğan döneminde BAT nedeni ile Jatene operasyonu uygulanan, sonrasında neoaortik kök genişlemesi nedeni ile opere edilen bir olguyu sunduk.
The Jatene procedure, which provides correction at the arterial level in patients with transposition of the great arteries, has become the standard procedure since 1975. Jatene procedure cannot provide a complete anatomical correction even though it provides physiological repair. Because the pulmonary valve locates in left side and the systemic circulation is involved, the arterial system is not optimal. Because of this reason, neoaortic root dilatation may occur in late term follow-ups. We present a case in our clinic to whom the Jatene operation was performed with the diagnosis of transposition of the great arteries in the neonatal period, thereafter, the patient was operated due to the neoaortic root dilatation.
