Özet
Bu makalede; araçsal akıl, rasyonalite ve pozitivist düşünceden meydana gelen modern paradigmanı n ölüm olgusuna karşı geliştirdiği stratejilere değinilecektir. Ussal ve nesnel bir dünya tasavvuruna dayanan modernite projesinin, metaŞziksel bir olgu olarak ölüm realitesine karşı “dışlayıcı ve yadsıyıcı” bir epistemik tavır sergilediği, bu epistemik tavrın ethosunu oluşturan akıl ve aydınlanma düşüncesinin de, ölüm gerçekliğine karşı “savunmacı” ve “suçlayıcı” bir stratejiye başvurduğu gerçeğine vurgu yapılacaktır. Burada, hem bu tavrın sosyolojik okuması yapılacak, hem de “gerçekliğin keşfedilebileceği, hakikatin bilinebileceği” inancını içeren modern düşünün, metaŞziksel olaylara karşı takındığı “öteleyici” tavır eleştirilecektir.
In this essay I will examine the modern paradigm which consists of instrumental reason, rationality and positivist thought and strategy in relation to death. Modernity which is founded on rational and objective concepts, maintains an epistemological attitude that excludes and denies the contemplation of death as a metaphysical fact. At the same time this epistemological attitude composed of reason and enlightenment, deploys a “defending“ and “inculpatory“ strategy. Here I will make this attitude a sociological reading and also will critique modern thought which states the idea that “reality can discover and truth can know“, while classifying metaphysical events as “other“.
