Özet
Biological and chemical agents are threats that have harmful effects on living organisms. It is very important to monitor these effects, which can lead to death. Sensor systems are a very good monitoring option due to their ability to perform rapid and sensitive analysis in various fields such as medicine, environment, and food safety. Optical and electrochemical biosensor systems are an excellent option because they can be designed in portable form, perform multiple analyses simultaneously, and allow on-site analysis with thanks to their integration with smartphones. In this chapter, the working principles of electrochemical and optical sensor systems are briefly explained. The electrochemical and optical sensor systems that have been developed in recent years for the detection of chemical and biological agents are discussed.
