Özet

The age and growth of the leaping mullet, Liza saliens Risso, 1810, were determined from specimens collected in Homa Lagoon, Aegean Sea. Mean fork length-at-age data, derived using otolith readings, were used to estimate the von Bertalanffy growth parameters separately for each sex. The results of fork length-weight regressions indicated the allometric growth characteristic of the species. The maximum age attained was six years for males and seven years for females.
