Yeni bir teknoloji olan plazma teknolojisi; sıklıkla maddenin dördüncü hali olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Plazma teknolojisi materyalin temel özelliklerini değiştirmeden yüzeyde yüzey aktivasyonu, temizleme, aşındırma, aşılama, çapraz bağlama gibi çeşitli modifikasyonlara sebep olmaktadrr. Bu makale plazma teknolojisi hakkında ve çeşitli kullanım alanları hakkında genel bir bilgi vermektedir.
