Özet
ABSTRAKT Bu çalışmada, kuruma özelliği olmayan hint yağından yüksek dien indisli dehidrate hint yağı eldesinde, sülfonik asit esaslı katalizörlerin etkisi araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla, benzen mono sülfonik asit, 1,3 - benzen disülfonik asit disodyum tuzu, to- luen 4 - sülfonik asit, 2 - naftol 3,6 - disülfonik asit disodyum tuzu ve Dowex 50 W katyon değiştirici reçine katalizör olarak denenmiştir. Deneysel çalışmalar sonucu 200 °C gibi düşük sıcaklıkta, normal atmosferik koşullarda, benzen ve toluen mono sülfonik asit katalizörlerinin dehitratasyonda daha etkili olduğu saptanmıştır. Elde edilen yüksek dien indisli dehidrate hint yağlarının çin odun yağı yerine kullanılabileceği de ortaya çıkarılmıştır. IV
ABSTRACT In this study, the effects of some sulfonic acid based catalysts for preparation of dehydrated castor oil with high diene value from non - drying castor oil; were investigated. For this purpose, benzene monosulfonic acid; 1,3 - benzene disulfonic acid disodium salt; 4 - toluene sulfonic acid; 2 - naphthol 3,6 - disulfonic acid dis- odium salt and Dowex 50 W cation - exchange resin were tested. From evaluation of experimental data, it was found that benzene-, and toluene sulfonic acid catalysts were more effective catalysts than the others on the dehyration of castor oil at mod erate temperatures such as 200 °C under atmospheric pressure. It was also concluded that the properties of experimentally obtained dehydrated castor oil specimens showed that these could be used succesfully instead of tung oil in the field of organic surface coating.
