Özet
Kontrol popülasyonla karşılaştırıldığında, migren başağrısında mitral valv prolapsusu(MVP)nun daha sık görüldüğünü ileri süren birçok çalışma vardır. Bu çalışmada migren tanısı konmuş 50 olgu ile başağrısı ve strok dışındaki diğer nörolojik bozuklukları bulunan 20 olgu ekokardiyografik olarak incelenmiş ve her iki gruptaki MVP sıklığı literatürdeki diğer bildirilerle karşılaştırmıştır.
It has been proposed that the incidence of mitral valve prolapse in (MVP) migraine is higher in several studies when compared with control populations. In this study, 50 migraine cases together with 20 other cases with any neurological disorders except headache and stroke were evaluated echocardiographically, and the incidence of MVP in both groups was compared with reports in the literature.
