Preparation and release characteristics of tolmetin sodium matrix tablets with ethylene maleic acid anhydrides

The aim of this study is to prepare the sustained release formulation of tolmetin sodium with different particle sizes containing varying types and percentages of ethylene maleic anhydride resins. The dissolution tests were applied and the dissolution kinetics of formulas were obtained. It was seen that the formulations provided sustained release and particle size of drug and the type and the concentration of ethylene maleic anhydride resins affected the dissolution rate.
