New sponge records (Porifera) from the Black Sea

Özet

This study reports five sponge species (Crambe crambe, Halichondria (Halichondria) bowerbanki, Dysidea incrustans, Dysidea fragilis, and Aplysilla sulfurea) collected from mussel beds (Mytilus galloprovincialis) at one locality along the Black Sea coast of Turkiye (off the coast of Bart in Province) in June 2018. Among these species, C. crambe and A. sulfurea are new records for the Black Sea fauna, while H (H.) bowerbanki is new to the marine fauna of Turkiye.
