Özet
Female labour force is regarded as low-cost labour. So it has a competitive advantage in export markets. Especially developing economies trend to have a competitive advantage in terms of labour-intensive industries and they realize it by female labour force. The textile and clothing sector has been one of the most important industrial employers of female labour. As clothing sector was a labour-intensive sector, it was kept lots of female labour force. This has enhanced the social and economic status of women. The aim of this study is to find out the common points of demographical and work structure and family relations of working women and working conditions who work in twenty three apparel companies in Turkey. The sample group of the study was drawn from the women who worked in twenty three apparel companies. in order to obtain the data, a survey is applied.
