Dieulafoy vascular malformation: A rare cause of upper gastrointestinal bleeding [Dieulafoy vaskuler malformasyonu, gastrointestinal sistemin nadir kanama nedenlerinden biri]

Dieulafoy vascular lesion, a rare cause of massive upper gastrointestinal bleeding, has a high mortality rate when diagnosis and treatment are delayed. The development of diagnostic and treatment methods, such as diffusely used endoscopic applications, has led to a decrease in mortality rates. However, endoscopy and other assistive methods sometimes fad to establish a diagnosis, which is then made during emergency laparotomy. In this study, we present three cases of Dieulafoy vascular lesion, diagnosed during emergency laparotomy due to massive upper gastrointestinal bleeding.
