The aim of the present study was to examine associations between negative reactivity dimension of the temperament, maternal acceptance and rejection, and disruptive behaviors among adolescents in terms of the Differential Susceptibility Model. In this regard, it was aimed to investigate the moderator role of negative reactivity on relations with maternal acceptance and rejection and disruptive behaviors. The sample of this study consisted of 400 high school students from 9th and 10th grade and mothers of the students. Parental Acceptance and Rejection Questionnaire and Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire was administered to adolescents. School-Age Temperament Inventory was administered to mothers to assess the temperament characteristics of their children. According to the results, the first moderator analysis, moderator roles of negative reactivity was found on maternal rejection. Adolescents with higher negative reactivity were more affected by maternal rejection and showed higher disruptive behaviors. In the second moderator analysis, the moderator role of negative reactivity was not found on maternal acceptance/wamth. According to the results, Differential Susceptibility Model was not supported in this study, and this situation point out that negative reactivity is not a protective factor and disruptive behaviors of adolescents did not decrease in maternal warmth situations in this study.en_US
