dc.description.abstractAim: Elementary school students to determine eye health problems through visual screening. Methods: The research was conducted from December 2011 to February 2012. 1-5 Example of three elementary schools. 309 girls studying in class, 650 students were enrolled, including 341 male students. Data analysis Statistical Packages of Social Sciences (SPSS) 11.0 program number was assessed by percentages and chi-square test. Results: The average age of the students was 9.1 +/- 1.3. A total of 100 students according to the results of the scan (15%) were found to be suspect. When the pre-refractive error had been diagnosed 31 students excluded from the study, 8% (n=50) refractive suspected cases, when excluded 7 students study had been diagnosed previously strabismus was 4.5% (n=29) the rate of strabismus suspected cases and 3.2% (n=21) were suspected cases of color blindness. Color blindness revealed higher rates seen in boys than girls suspected cases (p<.05). When vision screening and physician examination, cross compliance assessment; breaking the defective patients (n=50) 68% of the strabismus 82% of the suspected cases, color blindness 71% of suspected cases were found to be consistent with the results of the medical examination. Conclusion: Eye problems can be detected early with the school vision screening according to the these findings.en_US
