A new classification on the intensification of the meaning of adjectives and adverbs in Tuvan and using color names in reinforcement [Tuvacada sifat ve zarflarin pekİştİrİlmesİnde yenİ bİr tasnİf ve renk adlarinin pekİştİrmede kullanilmasi]

The reinforcement of degree adjectives and adverb comes to the meaning intensification of the meaning of these words and for this reinforcement are benefited from morphological and syntactic ways in Turkish Language. In grammars of Tuvan, the reinforcement / intensification is analysed under the title of formı usıleniya kaçestva and küşteldirer çada and in both grammar it is indicated that reinforcement is effectuated by using three ways: 1) with the suffixes (+GIr: akkır 'snow-white', kökkür 'very blue') 2) by inserting /p/ sound into the first syllable (dop-doraan 'very quickly') 3) with words (tergiin ulug 'very big'). Although there isn't any information on this subject in grammars, in dictionaries there are meanings regarding this function. As a result of our research, it has been observed that reduplications and colour names (such as kara, kızıl, kök, (black, red, root) are used as another way of reinforcement in Tuvan language. This implies the existence of a different structure in intensification. In this article, intensifiying constituted with colour names will be analyzed. In this article, comprehensive dictionaries of the relevant dialect were scanned, samples were compiled from literary works and scientific articles. © 2019 Hacettepe University 1. All rights reserved.
