Özet
New generation polycarboxylate based superplasticizers have many advantages such as high water reducing capacity and strong plasticising effect when compared with traditional sulfonate or lignine based admixtures. However, the effect of temperature change on the mechanism of these plasticizers and compatibility with traditional set accelerators are not fully understood. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of these parameters on cement paste mixes incorporating polycarboxylate based superplasticizers. The results of this study showed that when the slump retention is in question AC2 (Organo metalic complex of calcium formeate) and AC3 (Triethanolamine) accelerators were found to be in conformity with polycarboxlate-type superplasticizers. On the other hand, the conformity of ACS (Nitride and nitrate mixture) accelerator showed the best performance to obtain high early strengths without causing any detrimental flowability loss with time.
