Özet
The purpose of the study is to develop a scale to determine the perceptions of individuals' multicultural competence. With this aim, the draft form was sent to experts in order to get their opinions. Based on experts' feedback, item content validity ratios were determined. Items with content validity ratio under .80 were deleted. 47-item draft form was administered to 309 volunteered instructors teaching courses in different universities and approached through e-mails, and the data were analyzed. Through, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), a construct with 41 items and 3 factors, namely "Awareness", "Knowledge" and "Skill" was achieved. The relationship among subscales was tested and a significant positive relationship was found. By the analysis it was seen that subscales were the dimensions of a construct named multicultural competence. It was determined that fit indexes of the model were high. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) also confirmed the results of EFA. The Cronbach's alpha value for the scale was found to be .95.
