Özet
In this study, three samples of Typical Xerofluvent soil were taken from The Agriculture Faculty's Research, Practices and Production Farm of Ege University in Menemen-Izmir-Turkey. The soil samples passed through 8 mm were placed into erosion plots which have a drain pipe and sized as 30x45x15 cm. Different doses (0, 10, 20 and 40 t/ha) of olive mill waste (unmixed, mixed) were applied on erosion plots. After one hour application of rainstorms on plots by different rainfall intensities (30, 60 and 90 mm/h), mean pH.and EC (mu S/cm) values of experimental soils were measured. As a result of research, olive mill waste in this study reduced runoff by 40-96 % and by 3-98 %, soil loss by 94-100 % and 20-100 %, and it increased drainage by 42-765 % and by 13-151 % in the unmixed and mixed treatments compared with controls for each soil sample and rainfall intensities, respectively. In addition, olive mill waste was affected on pH and EC (mu S/cm) significantly. It was found that unmixed applied olive mill waste was more effective than mixed applied olive mill waste on decreasing erosion.
