Özet
Türk siyasi faaliyet alanı içerisine dâhil oluşundan günümüze kadar kimi zaman müspet, kimi zaman menfi olmak suretiyle Rusya ile münasebetlerimiz yoğun bir biçimde sürüp gelmiştir. Osmanlı Devleti’nin Rusya ile tarihe geçen ilk savaşı 1677 tarihli I. Çehrin seferidir. 1678 tarihli II. Çehrin seferinin aksine I. Çehrin seferiyle ilgili olarak başta vakayinameler olmak üzere Osmanlı kaynaklarında; sefer organizasyonu, seferin gidişatı, Osmanlı ve Rus ordularının sayıları, cephane durumları, kayıp ve yaralı sayıları gibi çok fazla istatistikî veriler bulunmamaktadır. Patrik Gordon’un günlüğünde vermiş olduğu bilgileri esas alarak hazırlamış olduğumuz çalışmamızda, bu bilgi eksikliğini Osmanlı kaynaklarında mevcut olan malumatla mukayese etmek suretiyle bir nebze de olsa gidermeye, I. Çehrin seferini ‘ötekinin’ gözünden görmeye çalıştık.
Our relations with Russia which is some times affirmative and sometimes negative have continue dintensively since theyare included in the field of Turkish political activity. the first war of the Ottoman Empire with Russia was the Campaign of Chigirin dated 1677. Unlike the Second Campaign of Chigirin dated 1678, there are not too much statistical data; such as organization of campaign, way of campaign, the number of Ottoman and Russian armies, status of armory, numbers of lostand injured, in Ottoman sources related with the First Campaign of Chigirin. in our study, which wepre paredbased on the information given by Patriarch Gordon in his diary, we tried to resolve this lack of information by comparing it witht he information available in the Ottoman sources, and we tried to see the campaign of the First Chigirin from the eyes of the "other's".
