Özet
Bu tezin amacı, üretici ve endüstriyel tasarımcının sürdürülebilirlik anlayışına dayanan yenilikçi ürün veya ürünler geliştirip sektöre bu anlayışın önemini vurgulamaya çalışmaktır. Tasarımcıların bir ürününü şekillendirip üretilir hale gelmesi ve üretilmesi süresinde önemi sorumlulukları vardır. Bebek ve çocuk mobilya endüstrisinde, ürünün tasarımından üretimine ve nihayetinde ortaya çıkmasına kadar ki süreçte, ürünün olumsuz çevresel etkilerinin aza indirgenmesi, üretilirken doğru hammadde kullanımı ve ürünün yeniden kullanılabilirliğini sağlayabilmek gerekmektedir. Sürdürülebilirlik, herhangi bir ürünün tasarımında ve üretiminde kritik bir husustur ve bu, özellikle ahşaptan yapılmış bebek mobilyaları söz konusu olduğunda daha da çok büyük önem kazanmaktadır. Ahşap malzeme, bebek ve çocuk mobilyaları tasarlamak için en doğru malzemedir. Çok güçlüdür, oldukça dayanıklıdır. Bütün bunların yanında bebeklerin büyümesi ve gelişmesi için hem doğal hem de sağlıklı bir ortam sağlamaktadır. Bebek ve çocuk mobilyası üretiminde ahşap kullanımı, kullanılan doğal kaynakların tükenmemesi ve çevreye verilecek zararın aza indirgenmesi için sürdürülebilir bir şekilde yapılması gerekmektedir. Son yıllarda farkındalığı artan sürdürülebilirlik ilkesi ile üretilen ürünler sadece üretici için değil son tüketici içinde anlamlı hale gelmiştir. Ahşap malzeme kullanılarak farklı şekillerde üretilen çocuk ve bebek mobilyalarında kontrplak (plywood) malzemenin kullanılması tasarımın çeşitliliğini arttırmaktadır. Ahşabın bükülebilir olması, esnekliği, ergonomisi ve şekillendirilmesindeki çeşitliliğin artması ürünün kullanılabilirliğini ön plana çıkarmaktadır. Tez kapsamında ele aldığımız bebek ve çocuk ahşap mobilyalarında sürdürülebilirlik felsefesinde, ürünün modüler tasarlanıp yeniden kullanılabilmesine yönelik ürün tasarımları oluşturulmuştur. Tasarımlar oluşturulurken sektörde sürdürülebilirlik felsefesi ile tasarımlar yapan tasarımcılar incelenecektir. Oluşturulan yeni tasarımlarda plywood malzemenin sürdürülebilirliğe katkısı, ailelerin satın alma sırasında çevre dostu mobilyaların tercih edilmesi konusunda farkındalıklarının artması sayesinde yeni nesillere de bu farkındalığı arttırmaları ile yeni tasarım modellerinin sektöre yeni bir bakış açısı sağlanması hedeflenmiştir.
The aim of this thesis is to develop innovative products or products based on the sustainability understanding of the manufacturer and industrial designer and to try to emphasize the importance of this understanding to the sector. Designers have important responsibilities in shaping a product, making it produced and producing it. In the baby and children's furniture industry, from the design of the product to its production and ultimately its emergence, it is necessary to minimize the negative environmental effects of the product, to use the right raw materials while producing and to ensure the reusability of the product. Sustainability is a critical consideration in the design and manufacture of any product, and this becomes even more important, especially when it comes to baby furniture made of wood. Wood material is the right material for designing baby and children's furniture. It is very strong, quite durable. In addition to all these, it provides both a natural and healthy environment for the growth and development of babies. The use of wood in the production of baby and children's furniture should be done in a sustainable way in order not to exhaust the natural resources used and to minimize the damage to the environment. The products produced with the sustainability principle, the awareness of which has increased in recent years, have become meaningful not only for the manufacturer but also for the end consumer.The aim of this thesis is to develop innovative products or products based on the sustainability understanding of the manufacturer and industrial designer and to try to emphasize the importance of this understanding to the sector. In the philosophy of sustainability in baby and children's wooden furniture, which we discussed within the scope of the thesis, product designs were created for the modular design and reuse of the product. While creating the designs, the designers who make designs with the philosophy of sustainability in the sector will be examined. In the new designs created, it is aimed to provide a new perspective of new design models to the sector by increasing this awareness to new generations thanks to the contribution of plywood material to sustainability and the awareness of families about the preference of environmentally friendly furniture during purchasing.
