Özet
The inhibitory effect of various concentrations of mint, sage, bay leaves, thyme, aniseed, red pepper and citrus peel oils on the growth of an aflatoxin-producing strain of Aspergillus parasiticus and its production of aflatoxin was studied. Amongst the herbs used, thyme was found a highly effective antifungal agent. Growth and aflatoxin formation was depressed by orange and lemon oils at a concentration of 1.6% through 10 days incubation. © 1985.
