Optimierung der translationskompetenz in lehre und praxis

My project entitled 16-EDB-023 “OPTİMİERUNG DER TRANSLATİONSKOMPETENZ İN LEHRE UND PRAXİS (KURAM VE UYGULAMADA ÇEVİRİ BECERİSİNİN İYİLEŞTRİLMESİ) was supported by Ege University BAP Coordination. It focused on the translation strategies of German sentence structures. For this purpose, I tried to identify the translation strategies from German to Turkish and to develop important guidelines in written translation practices through these strategies. Today, the cooperation between Germany and Turkey is increasing in many areas. This, of course, emphasizes the importance of translation and translation practices depending on the exchange of information. Translation plays an important role because it help sustain the exchange. This project, aims to create a scientific infrastructure by giving important clues about the translation strategies in German daily texts, technical texts and legal texts. Texts to be studied were identified as technical text types, legal texts as legal text types, and C1 language Common Framework Classification. Based on the theoretical information, it is aimed to prepare scientific background for the translation applications from German to Turkish by using the examples determined from these text types. Translation strategies are explained by prioritizing technical text translation, translation of legal text and grammatical features of daily language text translation. The aim of this study is to demonstrate the methods of translation based on the syntactic characteristics of German and Turkish translation practices. I examined the sentence types in German as syntactic and grammatical in terms of linguistics and translation studies. In addition, according to the structure of the German texts, sentence types are considered according to their structure einfacher Satz (simple sentence), Satzverbindung (connected sentence) and Satzgefüge (combined sentence) sentences with schematic depictions of translation methods were explained. In the second part of the study, experimental and control groups were formed and the methods discussed in the theoretical section were tested. It was concluded that the use of these methods in the courses would be beneficial. The aim of this study is to bring together the disciplines of translation studies and linguistics with the aim of giving priority to the functional and interdisciplinary characteristics of this study. The aim of this study is to use these findings in translation education and translation practices.

Ege Üniversitesi BAP Koordinasyon tarafından desteklenen ve yöneticisi bulunduğum 16-EDB-023 “OPTİMİERUNG DER TRANSLATİONSKOMPETENZ İN LEHRE UND PRAXİS (KURAM VE UYGULAMADA ÇEVİRİ BECERİSİNİN İYİLEŞTRİLMESİ) adlı proje çalışmamda Almanca cümle yapılarının çeviri stratejileri ele aldım. Bu amaca yönelik, proje Almancadan Türkçeye çeviri stratejilerini tespit etmek ve bu stratejiler vasıtasıyla yazılı çeviri uygulamalarında önemli yol gösterici yöntemler geliştirmeye çalıştım. Günümüzde birçok alanda Almanya ile Türkiye arasındaki işbirliği giderek artmaktadır. Bu durum elbette bilgi alışverişine bağlı olarak çeviri ve çeviri uygulamalarının önemini vurgulamaktadır. Çünkü bu alışverişi sürdürebilmekte çeviri önemli bir rol oynamaktadır. Bu projede Almanca günlük metinlerde, teknik metinlerde ve hukuk metinlerinde çeviri stratejileri hakkında önemli ipuçlarını vererek bilimsel bir alt yapı oluşturmak istenmektedir. Teknik metin türü olarak kullanım kılavuzları, hukuk metin türü olarak yasa metinleri ve günlük dil metin türlerinden Avrupa Dilleri Ortak Çerçeve Sınıflandırılması’na göre C1 seviyesinde metinler belirlenmiştir. Kuramsal bilgilere dayanarak söz konusu metin türlerinden belirlenen örnekler kullanılarak Almancadan Türkçeye yapılacak çeviri uygulamaları için bilimsel alt yapı hazırlanması hedeflenmiştir. Teknik metin çevirisi, hukuk metin çevirisi ve günlük dil metin çevirisinin dil bilgisi özellikleri ön planda tutularak çeviri stratejileri izah edilmiştir. Önümüzdeki çalışma, Almanca ve Türkçe çeviri uygulamalarının sözdizimsel özelliklerine dayanarak çeviri uygulama yöntemlerini ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Almanca cümle türleri söz dizimsel düzeyde ve dilbilgisi özellikleri sınıflandırmalarına göre dilbilimsel ve çeviribilimsel açıdan inceledim. Ayrıca, belirtilen Almanca metinler, cümle türleri göz önünde bulundurularak yapılarına göre einfacher Satz (basit cümle), Satzverbindung (bağlı cümle) ve Satzgefüge (birleşik cümle) cümleleri şematik tasvirleriyle çeviri yöntemleri izah edildi. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde deney ve kontrol grupları oluşturarak kuramsal bölümde ele alınan yöntemler sınandı. Yöntemlerin derste kullanımının faydalı olacağı sonucuna varılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın işlevsel ve interdisipliner özelliğinin ön planda olması amaçlanarak çeviribilim ve dilbilim alanlarını bir araya getirmeyi hedeflenmiştir. Bu çalışma ile elde edilen bulguların çeviri eğitiminde ve çeviri işleminde uygulamaya yönelik kullanılması amaçlanmıştır.
