Toplumsal cinsiyet, beden algısı ve mekân perspektifinden İzmir'de seks işçiliği üzerine sosyo-mekânsal bir analiz: İzmir Sosyal Tesisleri örneği

Özet
Seks işçiliği kavramı toplumda önyargı normlarına sıkıştırılmış olmakla birlikte, mahremiyet kavramıyla birlikte anılmaktadır. İzmir Sosyal Tesisleri, seks işçiliğinin para ile satın alınma mekânı olarak önümüze çıkmaktadır. Çalışanlar heteroseksüel ve trans kadınlardır. Çalışmamızda, ele aldığımız mekân kavramı üzerinden seks işçiliği çalışanı ve müşterisi olma durumunun tercih nedenlerini anlamaya çalıştık. Genel Kadınlar ve Genelevlerin Tabi Olacakları Hükümler ve Fuhuş Yüzünden Bulaşan Zührevi Hastalıklarla Mücadele Tüzüğü'nü incelediğimizde elde ettiğimiz sonuçlar ise mekânın bilinmezliği veyahut daha doğru bir tabirle bilinir konumda olsa dahi dışarıdan direkt algılanan, seks işçiliğine dair mesaj veren, içeren bir iletişimin benimsenmemesi gerektiğine dair kurallar idi. Yerinde inceleme yaparak ve mülakatlar neticesinde bulgularımız; seks işçiliğinin beden ve cinsiyet mahremiyeti haricinde toplumun dışlanmış ancak kabul edilmiş değerleri arasında yer aldığı da görülmüştür. Mekânın ve çalışan emekçilerin olumsuz kavramlar ve tanımlamalarla anılmasına karşın, seks işçiliğini satın alan müşteri kitlesinin mesleki ve toplumsal çeşitliliği yansıtmasının verdiği sonuç ise toplumun cinselliği ve cinsel kimlikleri baskılama, yok sayma ve göz ardı etme pratiğinin suni olgulardan meydana geldiğini göstermiştir. Seks işçiliğinin can güvenliği, sağlık, gizlilik kavramlarının kapsayıcı bir öznesi olduğu gözlemlenmiş olup buna yönelik yaşanan mağduriyetler ve önlemler üzerinde durulmuştur. Seks işçiliği mekânlarının, tercih durumunda; yasal olan ve yasal olmayan mekânlar, mahremiyet ve güvenlik hassasiyetleri üzerinden şekillendiği tespit edilmiştir.
Concept of sex workers is stuck between the prejudices in society, it is also associated with the concept of privacy at the same time. İzmir Social Facilities stand out as the place where sex work can be purchased. Workers are heterosexual and trans women. In our study, we tried to comprehend the reasons for becoming a sex worker and customer in respect to the concept of space. When we examined the General Provisions to be Subjected to Women and Brothels and the Regulation on Combating Venereal Diseases Transmitted by Prostitution the results we obtained were the rules regarding communication which shouldn't be adopted that is directly perceived from outside giving a message about sex work whether or not the space is known. As a result of our on-site investigations and interviews it has been observed that apart from privacy of body and gender, sex working is an excluded but accepted value in society. Despite space and workers are defined by negative concepts and definitions, the results derived from variations of customers who purchase sex work reflecting vocational and social diversity has shown that in society practice of suppressing, ignoring and overseeing sexuality and sexual identities is emerging from an artificial phenomenon. It has been observed that sex work is an inclusive subject of the concepts of life safety, health and confidentiality, and the victimization and precautions for this are emphasized. In case of preference, It has been determined that sex work places are shaped by legal and illegal spaces, privacy and security sensitivities.
