31 ÖZET 1988 ve 1989 yıllarında olmak üzere Ege üniversitesi Bahçe Bit kileri Bölümü Kolleksiyon bahçesinde Yerli Mandarin ağaçlarında yapılan bu deneme, Yerli Mandarin meyvelerinin olgunluk seyrini takip ederek, meyvenin puflaşmasına ve dökülmesine meydan vermeyen olgunluk zamanını tesbit etmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Kolleksiyon bahçesinde Yerli Mandarin ağaçları turunç anacı üzerine aşılıdır. Ağaçlar 6 metre aralıkla dikilmiştir. 1988 ve 1989 yıllarında, birer hafta ara ile alınan meyve örneklerinde olgunluk kriterleri olan, meyve ağırlığı, meyve eni ve boyu, kabuk kalınlığı, % usare % kuru madde, % asit ve kuru madde/asit oranı tesbit edilmiştir. Meyve ağırlığı bakımından 1988 yılı meyveleri daha ağırdır. Mey ve eni ve boyu da yine 1988 'de büyüktür. Yani meyvelerin 1988 yılında 1989' a göre daha iri olduğu tesbit edilmiştir. 1988 yılı meyvelerinde kabuk kalınlığı daha incedir. Her iki yılda da kabuk kalınlığı dönemler arasında çevre faktörlerinden etkilenerek iniş-çıkışlar göstermiştir. Meyve suyu açısından 1988 yılı meyveleri daha zengindir. Artış şeklinde bir değişim her iki yılda da görülmüştür. Kuru madde de sürekli artış, asit miktarında ise sürekli azalış kaydedilmiştir. 1989 yılı meyveleri daha küçük olduğundan kuru madde yoğunluğu daha fazla olmuştur. Kuru madde ve asit de artış ve düşüşler örnek alınan bazı tarihlerde farklılık göstermiştir. Bunlar çevre faktörlerinden etkilendiği için çok düzenli olmamıştır. Kuru madde/asit, her iki yılda da artış göstermiştir. 1988 yılı meyvelerinde bu oran daha yüksek tesbit edilmiştir. Yerli Mandarin, Bornova koşullarında her iki yılda da Aralığın ilk haftasından itibaren 6,5/1 kuru madde/asit oranına, yani hasat olgunluğuna ulaşmaktadır
32 SUMMAR Y This study is performed with the aim of determining the most suitable.ripening stage, which does enable to harvest 'Native Mandarin fruits before any puffing or dropping occurs, by following up the changes during fruit maturation. The fruit samples are taken from the mandarin trees of the 'Native' variety present at the collection orchard of Ege University Department of Horticulture in 1988 and 1989. The 'Native' Mandarin variety trees were budded on sour orange rootstocks and planted 6 meters apart. Fruit samples were taken with one week intervals both in 1988 and 1989 and analyzed to determine the following criteria: fruit weight, fruit dimensions, peel thickness, juice content, total soluble solids (TSS), titratable acidity (%) and TSS/ acidity ratio. The average fruit weight of the samples taken in 1988 was greater than that of 1989. The fruit width and length values of 1988 were greater, as well. As a conclusion, it was found that the size of the fruits harvested in 1988 was larger than 1989. The peel thickness in 1988 harvest was thinner, too. In both years, the peel thickness showed variations between periods. The up and down tendency of peel thickness values probably resulted because of the prevailing environmental factors. The juice content was higher in 1988. The content showed a tendency to increase in both years. In TSS values, a steady increase whereas in acidity values a steady decrease were observed. In 1989, the TSS values were higher resulting from the smaller sizes of the fruits. The increases and decreoses in both TSS and acidity values showed some deviations especially in some of the sampling dates. The curves obtained were not so regular probably due to environmental factors. The ripening ratios, TSS /acidity, increased with the advancing date in both years, The ratio was higher in 1988 than in 1989. It was concluded that the TSS/acidity ratio of the Native mandarin variety reaches the value of 6,5/1 by the first week of December under the conditions prevailing in Bornova-ÎZMİR.
