Özet
Bu çalışmada, İzmir yöresi bal arısı populasyonlarında fizyolojik özelliklere ilişkin genetik parametre tahminleri ve seleksiyon verimliliğinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. İzmir ilinin 16 ilçesinde verim özellikleri bakımından üstün ve bulundukları yöreleri temsil eden koloniler seçilmiştir. Seçilen kolonilerde arılı çerçeve sayısı, yavrulu çerçeve sayısı, hırçınlık eğilimi, koloni ağırlık artışı, kışlama yeteneği ve bal verim özelliklerine seleksiyon uygulanarak populasyonun genotipik yapısı iyileştirilmeye çalışılmış ve bu özelliklere ilişkin genetik parametre tahminleri hesaplanmıştır. Fizyolojik özellikler, yıllara göre ve yıllar içinde yörelere göre değerlendirilmiştir. 2008-2010 yıllarında üç yıl süren ıslah çalışması sonucunda 0.68 birim genetik ilerleme elde edilmiştir. Bu sonuç, çevresel faktörlerin etkisi göz önüne alındığında anlamlı düzeyde bir genetik ilerleme olarak değerlendirilemese de, Türkiye arıcılığında genetik ilerlemenin hesaplandığı ilk araştırma olma özelliğini taşımaktadır.
In this study, evaluation of selection productivity and estimation of genetic parameter related to physiologic characteristics had been purposed for honey bees from Izmir and environments. Apiaries had been selected for superior in productivity and representation of 16 district of Izmir. Selection is applied in selected colonies for number of frames, number of brood frames, tendency of aggresiveness, colony weight increase, wintering ability and honey yield in order to improve the genotypic structure and estimated the genetic parameter for these phenotypes. Physiologic characteristics are evaluated due to years and districts. At the end of three years of selection, 0.68 unit of genetic improvement is obtained. Even of this result could not be evaluated significant in genetic improvement considering effects of environmental factors, it is the first research on genetic improvement of bees in Turkey.
