Özet
Bruselloz Türkiye'de yaygın bir infeksiyondur. Bulaşma yolları göz önünde bulundurulduğunda, süt ve süt ürünleri işleyicileri bruselloz açısından risk grubu içerisindedir. Bu çalışmada; Ödemiş, Tire, Kiraz ve Kemalpaşa ilçelerindeki süt ürünleri işleyicilerinde bruselloz semptom ve seroloji prevalansı ve bruselloz ile ilgili bilgi düzeyi araştırılmıştır. Buna göre 10 (%4.1) olguda Rose-Bengal olumluluğu ve bunların sekizinde standart Wright olumluluğu saptanmıştır. Çalışanların bruselloz ile ilgili bilgi düzeyleri araştırıldığında %66.4'ünün bu hastalığı hiç duymadığı, %73.4'ünün hastalığın insanlardaki belirtilerini, %76.4'ünün ise hayvanlardaki belirtilerini bilmediği, %66.4'ünün bulaşma yollarını ve %67.6'sının korunma yollarını bilmediği görülmüştür. Seroprevalans oranı düşük olmakla birlikte bruselloz için risk gruplarının eğitiminin yararlı olacağı sonucuna varılmıştır.
Brucellosis is a common infection in Turkey. People working with milk and milk products are at increased risk for brucellosis. In this study, the prevalence of symptoms, serology and knowledge on brucellosis were investigated in the people working with milk products in Ödemiş, Tire, Kiraz and Kemalpaşa. Hose-Bengal positivity was determined in 10 workers (4.1%). In eight of the 10 workers the standard Wright test was also positive, it was also noted that 66.4% of the study population had never heard the disease. Of the test individuals, 73.4%, 76.4%, 66.4% and 67.6% did not know the symptoms in humans, symptoms in animals, transmission routes and prevention, respectively. It was concluded that although seropositivity rate is low, education of the risk groups of brucellosis is necessary.
