Özet
Human herpesvirüs-6 (HHV-6) ve sitomegalovirüs (CMV) organ nakil alıcılarında çeşitli klinik tablolardan sorumlu olabilir. Bu yazıda, bu iki virus infeksiyonunun görüldüğü böbrek nakli yapılan 21 yaşındaki kadın olgu sunulmuştur. Olguda greft disfonksiyonu geliştiği dönemde serumunda HHV-6 DNA saptanmış; nakil sonrası dördüncü ayda oluşan greft rejeksiyonunu takiben ise CMV hastalığı gelişmiştir.
Human herpesvirus-6 (HHV-6) and cytomegalovirus (CMV) can be responsible for different clinical pictures in transplant recipients. In this report, a 21 year-old woman who underwent renal transplantation and developed infection with the two viruses is presented. Human herpesvirus-6 DNA was detected in her serum during graft disfunction and CMV disease occurred after graft rejection in the fourth month posttransplantation.
