In the depression levels of the patients there was a significant difference depending on marital status, socioeconomic situation, working situation, family type, insurance situation, the place lived for the longest time, assessment of general health, health control situation, activity situation, illness period and perceived interpersonal relations in the depression levels of the patients. It is suggested that the patients after the stroke should be evaluated in a holistic approach and nursing interventions should be implemented to lessen depression.
