Özet
Gelişmiş ülkelerdeki geçmişi oldukça eskilere dayanan kentsel kamusal dış mekanlara yönelik master plan oluşturma çalışmalarına ülkemizde ne yazık ki yeterince önem verilmemiş ve bu nedenle master plan kavramı olgunlaşmamıştır. Bu çalışmada master plan kavramının ortaya konularak master plan oluşturma çalışmalarının gerekliliğinin Ege Üniversitesi Yerleşkesi örneğinde ele alınması amaçlanmış olup konuyla ilgili literatür araştırmasını takiben oluşturulan yöntem ışığında elde edilen bulgulardan hareketle, çalışma sonucunda kentsel dış mekan kategorileri ölçeğinde Ege Üniversitesi Yerleşkesi'nin dış mekanlarına yönelik geliştirme stratejileri belirlenmiştir.
Despite to the long history of masterplanning for urban public spaces in well-developed countries, unfortunately there hadn't been attached enough importance to the topic in our country and this has caused the master planning concept not to be matured sufficiently. the aim of this study is putting forward the master planning concept dealing with the necessity of master planning studies by the example of Ege University Campus. By the study, development strategies for the outdoor spaces of Ege University Campus are determined in the scale of public space categories, depending on the results obtained by the method formed after the research of the related resources.
