Özet
Bu araştırma; konuyla ilgili dünyadaki literatüre ulaşmak, Türkiye'deki aquaparklarm envanterini çıkararak elde edilen literatür ışığında bu alanların planlama ve tasarım özelliklerini, sorunlarını ve geliştirme olanaklarını ortaya koymak amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu amaç çerçevesinde Türkiye'deki 14 adet aquapark araştırma alanı olarak değerlendirilmiş, alan çalışmaları sırasında seçilen aquaparklarm konumsal ve fiziksel yapıları analiz edilerek, mekansal içeriği sorgulanmış, gerek aquapark işletmecileri gerekse ziyaretçilerden alınan bilgiler ışığında örnekler yakından incelenerek yer seçim kriterleri, mekan gereksinimleri ve tasarım kriterleri ortaya konulmuştur.
This study aims at keeping up with the world literature on the subject, and observing the planning and designing characteristics, problems and the possibilities of improvement in these areas in the light of literature gathered by keeping an inventory of the aquaparks in Turkey. Within the frame of this purpose, 14 aquaparks in Turkey were evaluated as research areas. During the field studies, the situational and physical structures of the selected,aquaparks were analysed, their situational contents were investigated, and selection criteria of the locations, venue requirements and designing criteria were determined by closely investigating the examples in the light of the information gathered both from the managers and the visitors of aquaparks
