dc.description.abstract | As regarding the Mn levels, the difference between the leaves of cuttings taken from Manzanilla (Esp) and from Ayvalık varieties was found insignificant but there was the difference was significant statistically between the shoot - Mn contents of the two varieties. Manganese levels were not effective on rooting of cuttings in both varieties. High leaf and shoot-copper contents were determined in the leaves and the shoots of cuttings taken from Ayvalık variety. However, Cu levels was not affective on rooting of cuttings in both varieties. The leaves and the shoots of the cuttings taken from Manzanilla (Esp) variety were found to have the highest water content and the lowest dry matter. Differences in dry matter content (105°C) of the leaves and the shoots of cuttings taken from Manzanilla (Esp) and from Ayvalık varieties was insignifcant statistically water content of the cuttings, dry matter and absolute dry mater contents of the leaves and the shoots of cuttings taken from Ayvalık and from Manzanilla (Esp) varieties' stock trees had no effect on the rooting ability of the cuttings. *;0 ''? 'vK 71lower shoot phosphorus levels than Manzanilla (Esp) variety. There was a negative correlation between leaf-P and mean root number, shoot-P and mean root number, and shoot-P and rooting rate. The leaf-potassium level of Ayvalık variety was found to be higher while the shoot levels were lower than Manzanilla (Esp) variety. Potassium levels of the leaves of the cuttings taken from Ayvalık was positively correlated with the mean root number and rooting rate of cuttings. The leaves and the shoots of the cuttings taken from Manzanilla (Esp) variety had higher Ca levels than Ayvalık variety. It was found that there were no correlation between Ca content of cuttings and rooting ability. Regarding the magnesium content of leaves and shoots of cuttings taken from Manzanilla (Esp) variety had higher levels than Ayvalık variety. A negative correlation between the mean root number and shoot-magnesium levels of Ayvalık variety stock trees was found significant. It was found that the difference between the leaves and the shoots of the cuttings taken from Ayvalık and from Manzanilla (Esp) varieties' stock trees was insignificant in terms of Na levels. Sodium level of the shoots taken from Ayvalık variety stock trees exerted a negative effect on the rooting rate and the root number. As far as the Fe level is concerned, the leaves and the shoots of the cuttings taken from Ayvalık variety stock trees had higher levels than Manzanilla (Esp) variety. Iron levels of the leaves taken from Ayvalık cuttings were negatively correlated with the mean root number and rooting rate of cuttings. Although, the leaf-zinc level of Manzanilla (Esp) cuttings was higher than Ayvalık variety, its level in the shoots was found to be lower than Ayvalık variety. The mean root number and the rooting rate were affected negativelly by the Zn level in the leaves and shoots of the cuttings. High levels of boron was found in the leaves and the shoots of cuttings taken from Manzanilla (Esp) variety stock trees. The lower levels of shoot-boron of Ayvalık variety was negatively effective on the rooting rate and the mean root number. 70As regarding the Mn levels, the difference between the leaves of cuttings taken from Manzanilla (Esp) and from Ayvalık varieties was found insignificant but there was the difference was significant statistically between the shoot - Mn contents of the two varieties.
