It is known that employees in the cement production process face serious dangers and risks. In the researches, it was determined that the physical and chemical risk factors were mostly examined and the ergonomic risks encountered in the production process were not emphasized enough. In this context, in this study, it is aimed to reveal the extent of ergonomic risks encountered at various stages of the cement production process. The study was carried out in a private sector cement factory and 3 concrete plants belonging to this factory in İzmir. As a result of the observations, the existence of non-ergonomic working conditions in packaging, transfer and quality control units was determined.Four observational evaluation methods, which are thought to be suitable for each unit, were selected and ergonomic risk scores were determined by observing a total of 36 employees.By comparing these methods among themselves, it was tried to determine the most suitable method for evaluation. As a result of the study, it was determined that there are very high risks in the transfer and concrete quality control units, and moderate risks in the packaging and cement quality control units. It has emerged that the work order in units with high risk levels needs to be re-established urgently. As a result of the comparison of the methods used, it was determined that the KIM-MHO method, which can evaluate in detail other factors such as work organization and working conditions as well as posture, was determined to be the most appropriate evaluation method for all units, and secondary methods to be used for each unit were also recommended.
