Özet

The hydroliquefaction of Goynuk oil shale with/without catalyst was carried out in the presence of supercritical toluene, The maximum conversion and the yield of extract was reached at 400 degrees C for non-catalysis hydroliquefaction experiments. The conversion and the yield of extract reached a maximum value at 400 degrees C for catalytic hydroliquefaction with pyrite. The pyrite catalyst showed no noticable effect on conversion and extract yield, but the pyrite catalyst increased considerably the conversion and the yield of extract below 400 degrees C. In addition to this, it was observed that pyrite increased the amount of hydrocarbons in gas products and decreased the molecular weight of oils at 450 degrees C. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd.
