Özet

The Internet of Things is one of the most popular topics today. There are many studies conducted using IoT technologies. This study focuses on smart agricultural systems and a smart agricultural application is proposed incorporating IoT. Agricultural areas are always areas that should be followed by the farmer and action should be taken under certain conditions. In this study, we present a system that will provide the opportunity to remotely monitor important parameters in the field of agriculture. The goal of the proposed system is to monitor the conditions in the field and the presence/absence of animals. It consists of a microprocessor, sensors and an ESP8266 module. Data such as air temperature, soil moisture, rain status are measured with sensors. According to the measured soil moisture value, the farmer can start irrigation remotely if he wants. It is difficult to see if there are animals in the agricultural area at night. For this reason, most of the crop can be damaged. In this work motion sensors are used and images are takesn when motion is detected. Collected data can be monitored by the farmer via desktop or mobile application. Thus both the efficiency and the quality of the production is increased. In addition, the farmer can receive information about the status of the farm via SMS and the same time, start irrigation with SMS. Thanks to the solar panels used in this study, it is ensured that the components in the system operate without the need for external power. © 2023 IEEE.
