Özet
18. Yüzyılda yaşanan Endüstri Devrimi sonrası hızlı bir değişim içerisine giren modern toplum ile birlikte sanat tarihi açısından da devrimler çağı başlamıştır. Toplumun değişen yapısı ile birlikte sanatsal akımlar ortaya çıkmış, sanatsal ortam da toplumun tüm birimleri gibi hızlı bir değişim içerisine girmiştir. Endüstrileşmenin etkilerinin görüldüğü bir diğer önemli bir alan da sanatçının yaşadığı çevrede yaşanan değişikliklerdir. Kent ve kırsal kesim endüstrileşme ile görsel açıdan değişmeye başlamıştır. Fabrikalar, madenler ve demiryolları sanatçının gündelik yaşamda karşılaştığı nesneler olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmada endüstriye temaların Avrupa resim sanatı içerisinde nasıl ele alındığı araştırılmıştır.
The Industrial Revolution in the 18th Century made rapid changes in modern society and started an age of revolution in art history. As well as structural changes in overall society, artistic environment entered a process of change and new artistical movements occurred. Another important effect of industrialization can be seen in changing habitat of artists. Urban and rural landscape has changed visually with the industrialization. Factories, mines and railways emerges as everyday objects for the artist of the era. In this thesis, industrial themes will be examined throughout European Painting Art.
