Özet

Nontraumatic intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) accounts for 10–15% of all strokes. Although the incidence of ischemic stroke is decreasing globally, the incidence of ICH is increased in older adults in association with the use of oral anticoagulants (Flaherty et al. 2007; Bejot et al. 2013). In addition, there has been significant improvement in the management of and treatments for ischemic stroke, whereas the same is not applicable to ICH, which is still associated with high mortality and morbidity. ICH case fatality rate in the first month exceeds 50%, and only 20% of the survivors achieve full functional recovery within 6 months (van Asch et al. 2010). © 2022, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
